Nursery Admissions in DPS Vasant Kunj shall start from January. DPS Vasant Kunj has 100% seats in Nursery out of which 50% are for general. The latest point system is as follows
(a) Neighbourhood ; 40 points

0 – 10 km (by aerial distance between the
school and residence of the applicant.) 40 points
10.1 – 15 kms 30 points
Beyond 15 kms 20 points
(b) Sibling ; 30 points
30 points will be awarded in case of a real brother / sister currently studying at DPS
Vasant Kunj only.
(c) School Alumni ; 25 points
For parents who have passed Class X or XII from DPS (core school only) that is owned
by the DPS Society.
Father = 10, Mother = 10, DPS Vasant Kunj = 5
(d) Single Parents ; 05 points
Widow/ Widower / Legally Divorced parent only
Total = 100 points
Total no. of seats 240
-Number of seats available under General Category 120 (50%)
-Number of seats available under Management Category 48 (20%)
-Number of seats available under Staff Category 12 (05%)
-Number of seats available under E.W.S & Disadvantaged Category 60 (25%)
As you can see if a sibling is not studying in DPS Vasant Kunj and parent are not from DPS Vasant Kunj, there is no other way to distinguish. Majority of seats are given through lucky draw.
